Foremen are crucial to your company’s success. Foremen typically start as journeymen and are promoted based on their technical skills. While a foreman may be highly qualified technically, he or she may not have sufficient management skills to be effective. To help members increase their foremen’s opportunity to succeed and prevent placing them in a sink-or-swim position, the Chapter will sponsor Effective Foremanship Training on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the JATC facility in Lanham, Maryland. This one-day training program consists of nine training modules that focus on the knowledge and skills that every supervisor must master to be an effective manager of people, time, equipment, and materials.
